Movies on the Meadow

The PCA is proud to present the 2011 Schedule for our popular Movies on the Meadow series, brought to you through the generous support of M&T Bank and Councilman Michael LoCurto. We've organized this year's schedule in conjunction with the Buffalo Zoo's Ferocious Friday's program, showing titles that relate to programs being offered at the zoo that evening.

 

August 12th

Night at the Museum

The sorcerer gives his unwilling accomplice a crash course in the art and science of magic, and together, these unlikely partners work to stop the forces of darkness. This is a Free series open to the public. Bring a picnic blanket, and come out to enjoy Delaware Park at dusk with your friends and neighbors. For those of you looking to drive to our Movies on the Meadow series, the Buffalo Zoo has generously offered free parking to our audience.  You're invited to use the lot south of the zoo entrance at the corner of Jewett Parkway and Parkside Ave.  The gate will be raised at 9:30 for those of you that stay for the entire show.  If for whatever reason you need to leave before then, the PCA will be selling parking tokens ($3.50/car) on behalf of the zoo, that you'll need to exit the lot.  A portion of the proceeds earned goes toward worldwide conservation projects.

 

The movies are scheduled to start as soon as it's dark enough to be seen, approximately 8:30 pm, and will be located down the hill from the Parkside lodge, close to the playground near the intersection of Florence and Parkside.  It looks like we're in for a beautiful evening this week, so we hope to see you there.
